  • I think as long as the person is not a criminal, mentaly unstable etc, then why can't we own as many as we want? The only ones restricted by these bans are the good citizens. If I am responsible w/ my gun, then nobody has any business in how many or what kind.

  • Just an fyi, the Donner Party did not eat human flesh. This finding came out last year. Thru DNA testing it was found that 1 member of the party had consumed human flesh and that was a dog. Just an interesting point to ponder.

  • Sad that human life means less to you than that of an animal. I rasie and hunt my own food. In the case of food I raise, it is very well cared for and killed quickly and painlessly. As for hunting, my dad taught me to never let the animal suffer. The first shot is a kill shot.

  • Whenever I go out to check on the livestock, I see my dogs grazing on the grass and alfalfa. They seem to enjoy it. I don't see them throwing it up either. I think they rather enjoy it. As for the table scraps, no food is ever wasted at our place. Either it goes to the dogs or the chickens.

  • Several years back I talked my husband into letting me get 2 hens for eggs. At the time it was just the 2 of us. As our family has grown(4 kids), so has my interest and our flock size. I now raise enough to sell eggs at a local market & pay for their feed this way .

  • This just goes to show what factory farming does best-breed diseases. Until the public decides that cheap meat products is not an even trade off for health, this will only get worse. It's only a matter of time before this or something like this infects our major food sources.
